As part of its commitment to green initiatives in business, Westchester County encourages all businesses to participate in the The Westchester Green Business Challenge (WGBC). The WGBC is a friendly competition open to all businesses in Westchester developed by Westchester County Government in partnership with The Business Council of Westchester. The WGBC is designed to help companies reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) while improving operational performance and saving money. In August of 2010, ConEdison announced its sponsorship of The Westchester Green Business Challenge. ConEdison also offers a number of incentives for energy efficiency.
