Every major highway in Westchester has been completely reconstructed over the last 10 years at a cost of more than $1 billion. There are three interstate highways serving Westchester County, which provide easy access to New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. JFK International, LaGuardia and Newark airports are within a one-hour drive. The Westchester County Department of Transportation (WCDOT) offers businesses individualized transit assistance and tax incentives, including:
  • The "Smart Commute" Program: WCDOT works with employers to provide employees with additional transit options to the daily drive.
  • The "Commute N Save" Program: WCDOT provides tax incentives for employers and employees who use public transportation.
  • MetroPool: MetroPool provides free commuter services to employers and commuters with the support of the Connecticut and New York Departments of Transportation. MetroPool currently administers programs for close to 300 companies. For commuters, there are several benefits to participating in a MetroPool program.
