Westchester County has one of the best educated workforces in the nation. According to a recent survey, 45% of Westchester residents hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This percentage exceeds the State and U.S. percentages of 32% and 27%, respectively. Our highly educated workforce has helped grow some of Westchester County’s key growth sectors such as green biotech, finance, healthcare, IT and green technology. We owe the quality of our workforce to the quality of the educational institutions located in Westchester, including excellent public schools, private schools, higher-education institutions, and vocational institutions.

If you are interested in finding employees in Westchester, we have a number of resources to assist you in your search.

The Westchester Workforce Investment Board (WIB) connects businesses to employees with their One-Stop Employment Center. You can visit their website or one of their many One-Stop Job Center locations for more information about a wide variety of financial incentives and grant programs for job training and new hires.

The Westchester County Department of Labor
Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions offices provide convenient "one-stop shopping" for employment-related needs. They offer many DOL programs in a single location – including career-related assistance and services for employers. Some offices are located in One-Stop Career Centers, where the Department of Labor works in tandem with county and local workforce agencies. You can visit their website or contact to find the Department of Labor office nearest to you.
